Part-Time Recreation Leader _ Gymnastics

Responsibilities
Performs customer service functions: provides information or assistance regarding services, activities on the phone and in person, forms, procedures, fees, or other issues; responds to routine questions and complaints; researches problems and initiates problem resolution; and refers complaints/problems to appropriate personnel
Processes participant registrations, court reservations, tournament registrations, and other scheduled services and events: receives requests for classes, court times, or other scheduled services; reviews registration forms for accuracy and completeness; enters information into online database and calendars; collects and records fees; and maintains related documentation
Prepares facilities according to daily schedule: opens and closes facility; unlocks and locks doors; turns lights on or off; disarms and sets alarm; moves, sets up, and tears down tables, chairs, etc.; and performs routine cleaning duties such as emptying trash, sweeping floors, etc
Maintains attendance and punctuality within customary tolerances for this position
Performs other related duties as assigned
If assigned to the gymnastics division: Teach instructional gymnastics classes on an age appropriate level and through skill progressions. Performs additional functions: take class attendance, prepare class lesson plan, evaluate and recommend to progress to higher levels

Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED preferred; supplemented by experience in any field working with children or as an instructor/coach or athlete
Ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria
Ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, taste, odor, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals
Ability to communicate orally
Ability to maintain attendance and punctuality within customary tolerances for this position
Experience working with children
