InternChipStack is a startup focused on reinventing how modern silicon chips are designed. The Research Intern will work alongside experienced chip designers and ML scientists to tackle novel problems and build valuable AI technologies for customers.

Work on novel problems, build solutions, and ship to real customers
Influence the product’s trajectory significantly
Engage in all parts of the company
Qualification
Required
Strong research background and publications in one of the following areas: Fundamental/applied research in AI/ML, chip design and computer architecture, systems and software engineering, or related areas
Strong proficiency in Python
Solid understanding of cloud services and containerized applications, with some exposure to building high-quality software development practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers
Preferred
Prior experience in building LLM-based applications
Exposure to chip design fundamentals (via coursework or elsewhere)
Experience at an early-stage startup
Experience in developing IDE plugins (e.g., VSCode)
