Responsibilities
Define and own the core business and operational metrics that quantify the network health of our clearinghouse
Build robust data models, transformations, and pipelines (primarily in DBT and Redshift) that power dashboards, alerts, investigative workflows, and internal operations tooling
Instrument observability across the network by designing dashboards, automated reports, anomaly detection, and real-time alerts that help Network Operations and Engineering identify issues quickly and continuously improve payer routing and API logic
Build internal tools, scripts, validation checks, and runbooks that automate decision-making, accelerate root-cause analysis, and improve the reliability and performance of our transaction network
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve data issues related to payer behavior, eligibility errors, network slowdowns, and unexpected claim patterns. Then own problems through to resolution
Manage a well defined backlog of issues in GitHub
Qualification
Required
Exceptional analytics and documentation skills: You've built systems, models, or pipelines that turn messy operational data into trustworthy, production-grade insights
Understanding of data quality, lineage, reproducibility, and treating analytics as an engineering discipline
Fluency in the modern data stack and expertise in SQL
Ability to design schemas and models that scale with data volume and complexity
Experience in instrumenting observability into every layer of work
Application of new AI tooling to accelerate analysis and automate workflows
Ability to automate repetitive work, validate assumptions, and systematize analyses
Experience in building internal tools, scripts, and data checks to make transformations more reliable
Proactive identification of data gaps or inconsistencies and designing solutions
Relentless curiosity and ability to dive deep into raw logs, payloads, schemas, and transformations
Ability to generate hypotheses, validate them with data, and propose changes backed by evidence
Resourcefulness, self-motivation, self-discipline, and ability to take initiative
Ability to match the pace of a fast-moving organization and respond with urgency
Strong communication skills to inform stakeholders about progress and seek help or feedback
Attention to detail and ability to comb through edge cases, anomalies, logs, and payload-level nuance
