Responsibilities
Anticipate and address technical challenges before they arise, proposing effective solutions
Develop innovative approaches that balance implementation time, quality, scalability, and maintainability
Strategize and lead technical projects that span multiple teams and organizations
Mentor and guide engineers across teams, fostering technical growth and leadership
Oversee and ensure visibility of key performance indicators across teams
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver scalable Rich Media solutions
Drive architectural standards and best practices for service quality and stability
Champion continuous improvement in system efficiency and reliability
Qualification
Required
7+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong track record in technical leadership
Proven ability to communicate strategy and decisions across technical, product, and leadership levels
Experience designing and evolving software architecture for scalable systems
Skilled in balancing quality code delivery with meeting deadlines
Demonstrated mentorship of senior engineers to develop independent technical leadership
Expertise in defining and implementing architectural standards, libraries, and testing/monitoring practices
Proficient with cloud services (AWS preferred) and knowledgeable in the software development lifecycle
Growth mindset and ability to lead without formal authority, inspiring others to achieve shared goals
Preferred
Experience with mobile, web, machine learning, computer vision, photography, imaging, computer graphics, Go, and data streaming pipelines
