Responsibilities
Develop and maintain reliable backend systems, integrating them with credit card, banking, and merchant platforms for comprehensive workflow chargeback management
Scale and generalize the system for growth, ensuring it is highly configurable and flexible to reduce the time to go live and support a broad range of use cases
Architect and develop robust architectural patterns for microservices
Design and implement core frameworks and libraries for various backend services, promoting code reuse and maintainability
Take ownership of upgrading coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, deployed systems, backend programming languages, and third-party dependencies to enhance system performance and security
Proactively identify areas for improvement in our platform's infrastructure and systems, implementing optimizations that enhance operational efficiency and product quality
Own the end-to-end development and deployment of key features, including decision-making around technology stack and system design to ensure optimal implementation
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on using Go or Java in production environments
Demonstrated experience working on platform teams and contributing significantly to system architecture
Led an end-to-end implementation of a key product feature or re-architecture/upgrading of a key platform service
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, and industry design patterns
Experience mentoring junior team members and leading project teams as the sole tech lead
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
