DAT Freight & Analytics is a technology company specializing in transportation and logistics. They are seeking a Sr Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and adoption of security controls and tooling to enhance the company's security posture while supporting business growth.

Responsibilities

Enable secure business growth and scalability by designing resilient, automated security architectures that support rapid product innovation balancing strong security controls with developer velocity and operational efficiency

Design and enhance security tooling, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, logging platforms and cloud security architecture

Develop reference architectures and technical standards for secure cloud deployments, container hardening, and access management that are disseminated and enforced across the enterprise

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed security into SDLC and production systems (DevSecOps, IaC scanning, SAST/DAST/SCA, etc.)

Evaluate control effectiveness alongside Security and cross functional teams to enable continuous improvement

Provide advanced forensic and incident response expertise for priority security events and escalations, leveraging deep technical analysis to identify root cause, contain threats, and support post-incident remediation and control hardening

Working knowledge of frameworks such as NIST 800-53, SOC 2, CIS Benchmarks, and Zero Trust Network Architecture

Strong understanding of DevSecOps pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD security tooling

Experience with cloud-native logging, monitoring and detection frameworks

Proven experience (7+ years) in cybersecurity engineering or infrastructure/cloud security roles
