Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Structural Engineering
Penn State University is inviting applications for two tenure track faculty members in structural engineering. The positions require candidates to have a strong record of scholarship and the ability to develop successful research programs, with a focus on collaboration across various engineering departments.

Responsibilities
Build successful collaborations within both departments
Develop innovative, multidisciplinary programs that draw on the complementary expertise of both departments
Teach and provide service responsibilities primarily in their home department
Submit an online application including: a cover letter; a curriculum vitae; a statement of research interests; a statement of teaching interests; contact information for four professional references; and two published journal articles
Indicate the department home of alignment for appointment and envisioned contributions to the shared interests of the two departments
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in civil, architectural or other closely related fields in engineering by the start of the appointment
Demonstrated ability as a researcher
Definite evidence of growth in scholarly or professional achievement for Assistant Professor level
Evidence of an established reputation in teaching as well as scholarly and professional achievement for Associate Professor level
Ability to develop successful research programs that could utilize the facilities in the state-of-the-art 8,000 square foot Aramco High Bay Structural Testing Lab
Eager to contribute within a community driven by impact with the ability to create/maintain an inclusive and respectful environment for all faculty, staff and students
