Responsibilities
Owning and driving products from design to development to testing to production
Working closely with product managers to understand the needs of users (merchants, consumers, and internal stakeholders)
Proposing technical solutions
Structuring and managing projects for junior engineers
Reporting on impact
Building products to create a frictionless, efficient, and delightful end-to-end delivery experience for users
Building and managing software partnerships that allow Coco to receive orders from all major ordering platforms
Building backend services that make automated decisions based on user behaviors, supply/demand, government regulations, sidewalk conditions, and more
Partnering with other Coco teams to tackle efficiency and profitability initiatives
Enabling human operators to manage a fleet of delivery robots
Maintaining a mobile native app for the Field Operations team and a web app for remote Pilots to manage assigned deliveries
Architecting and building backend services that communicate with devices and track information such as health, battery status and location
Qualification
Required
BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
7+ years of professional software development experience
Experience designing and leading the implementation of new platform features and services, including their deployment in AWS
Experience supporting business-critical services in production (3+ yr)
Experience with Go (3+ yr)
Strong SQL database fundamentals (3+ yr)
Experience with message queue & pub/sub frameworks such as Kafka or RabbitMQ (2+ yr)
Preferred
Experience with Kubernetes resources & Helm charts
Experience with Terraform
Experience with Typescript
Experience working in a startup environment
