Regional Project Engineer - (Multisite, Project Plans Experience desired)

They are seeking a Regional Project Engineer responsible for managing regional capital plans and projects from concept through installation and assessment, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.

Work closely with plant personnel and Reginal Leadership to develop capital appropriation budget and provide input on engineering, purchasing and installation requirements for capital projects
Lead and manage assigned projects to meet timelines, budget, and quality requirements
Plan, coordinate, and execute all capital projects performed in a cost-effective manner in accordance with corporate and production requirements
Generate preliminary cost estimates
Develop project CRF (Capital Request for Funding) and manage ongoing costs
Solicit, review, recommend, and obtain approval on bids for project work and equipment required
Responsible for project vendor selections, cost negotiations, and approve invoicing
Oversee plant construction management effort, document retention, start-up, training, and acceptance progress for each project
Maintain detailed records for each project such as action plans, timelines, roles and responsibilities, cost tracking, and status against plan
Review project records periodically to assess problems encountered, progress made, solutions identified, and opportunities to share learning and expertise among operations throughout the organization
Provide technical engineering and project management support to other divisions of the company as requested
Create and maintain department technical specifications as part of continuous improvement effort
This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws

Qualification
Required
5-10 years of experience in related field is preferred
Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products
Experience in capital plan and capital project management (preferably in meat or other food industry)
Knowledge of refrigeration, steam, and wastewater experience is a plus
Use of laptop, MS suite of products
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Strong attention to detail is key

Preferred
BA/BS or equivalent is preferred
In engineering discipline (such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, industrial, etc) or equivalent experience
