They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer II to design and develop advanced silicon anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to innovative materials and processes.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth materials characterization and failure analysis (FA) on silicon anode materials and battery cells
Design and develop advanced silicon anode materials for lithium-ion batteries
Collaborate with internal and external partners to scale up promising materials and processes
Analyze electrochemical performance metrics, degradation mechanisms, and material interfaces
Utilize materials characterization tools such as SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, and Raman spectroscopy
Work on battery cell design, prototyping, and testing protocols
Collaborate across materials science, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams
Apply excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Required

Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in materials science, chemical engineering, electrochemistry, or a related field

Hands-on experience with materials characterization tools (e.g., SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, Raman)
Familiarity with battery cell design, prototyping, and testing protocols
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
