PROJECT MANAGER (Road Preservation)

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain job costs, purchasing and scheduling
Monitor bid opportunities and be responsible for customer relationship management
Develop estimates from various types of bid documents and their key components such as bonding, insurance, indemnification and damage clauses
Proficient in construction means and methods, appropriate equipment, material use and applications, crew sizing, and crew buildup
Determine productivity rates and accurately include these estimates in the bid package
Visit proposed job sites
Attend pre-bid and job site meetings
Understand and apply Overhead and General Conditions recovery to support the work
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Possess the innovation and development techniques needed on special projects that fall outside the normal scope of operation

Required

B.S. Civil Engineering or Construction Management or the equivalent of 2+ years of Project Management and estimating experience in concrete pavement restoration and road construction
Knowledge of multilocality labor agreements and prevailing wages and DOT specifications
Ability to travel
Proficient in construction means and methods, appropriate equipment, material use and applications, crew sizing, and crew buildup
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Possess the innovation and development techniques needed on special projects that fall outside the normal scope of operation
