Staff Accountant/Human Resources
Earl R. Martin Inc. has been providing high-quality transportation and related services for over 60 years. They are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage accounting functions and HR-related responsibilities, including payroll and employee onboarding.

Responsibilities
Processing weekly payroll including accounting transactions and reconciliation
Processing AP payments and processing checks weekly
Reconciles cash balances daily
Process and match daily bank and credit card downloads into Quickbooks
Prepares GL adjustments and journal entries as needed
Works with VP-Finance to prepare month-end financial reports
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies & procedures
Enters all new hires and employee changes in payroll system
Support hiring process and conduct new hire orientation/process paperwork
Conduct open enrollment and perform tasks related to benefits administration
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of accounting experience
Proficient in Quickbooks
Must be able to work independently, display excellent verbal and written communication skills, and prioritize effectively
Preferred
Bachelor's or Associates degree in Business / Accounting
Experience in payroll processing
Proficient in MS Office suite; especially Excel
Experience with HR responsibilities as noted
