Responsibilities
Lead innovative mechanical design and process integration for cutting-edge treatment facilities, reservoirs, and pumping or lift stations
Drive the development of comprehensive construction documents and detailed specifications for critical systems, including pumps, valves, gates, and other mechanical components
Establish the basis of design, complete in-depth calculations, and deliver robust solutions tailored to each project’s unique challenges
Perform thorough assessments, meticulously size and select equipment, develop and evaluate design options with accurate cost estimates, and prepare technical memoranda to clearly document your rationale and recommendations
Lead seamless coordination among various engineering disciplines to ensure every project benefits from a fully integrated design approach
Develop process flow narratives, conduct hydraulic analyses, and play an active role in project management activities such as budget and schedule tracking
Support business development efforts, contribute to compelling proposals, and inspire the next generation by mentoring junior engineers and ensuring rigorous quality control reviews
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and 10 years of relevant experience in process mechanical engineering for water and wastewater facilities
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of California
Preferred
Mechanical or Civil P.E. preferred
15+ years of relevant experience in process mechanical engineering for water and wastewater facilities
