The technician will be responsible for assembling finished products, reading blueprints, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Work in accordance with plans and specifications
Read blueprints and technical sketches
Reporting all defects/work orders to Fabrication Supervisor
Clean, repair and perform maintenance on shop equipment
Complying with industry standards and safety regulations
Efficiently manage time and meet specified deadlines
Operate various hand tools and shop equipment such as table saws, routers, band saws, lathe, thermo formers, wire binders, industrial belt sanders, oxy-acetylene torches, paint booths, palm and disc sanders and deburring tools
Fabrication of proprietary parts and components as assigned
Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications using measurement tools such as calipers, height gauges, micrometers, rulers etc
Interpret measurements
Verify specifications
Qualification
Required
High School degree, diploma or a GED and/or 1-2 years as a maintenance worker
Excellent attention to detail
Able to read blueprints and technical sketches
Work well independently and within a team and have the ability to coordinate efforts with fellow co-workers
Considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the trade
Considerable knowledge of the maintenance and repair of machine shop tools and equipment
Needs a strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on deadline
Good communication skills, both written and oral
20/20 Vision (either naturally or with correction)
