HR Data and Systems Lead
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) is a provider of cutting-edge cloud-based integration and data analysis for the US Department of Defense. They are seeking an HR Data and Systems Lead to oversee the strategic integration and optimization of all HR systems, ensuring data-driven insights support organizational decision-making.
Responsibilities
Lead the administration, integration, and optimization of HR systems (ADP WFN, Cornerstone, ATS, background check, LMS/training)
Drive the design, testing, and implementation of new HR technologies, upgrades, and vendor integrations
Build advanced reporting, dashboards, and analytics to inform strategic workforce planning and compliance
Collaborate with HR Leaders to align technology with company priorities and growth
Maintain system security, data governance, and compliance with privacy and regulatory standards (ACA, HIPAA, OFCCP, etc.)
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through audits, reconciliations, and governance processes
Configure and manage system workflows, business rules, user permissions, and approval structures to support operational needs while ensuring compliance and data security
Work collaboratively and take initiative with the IT team to ensure compatibility and integration/compliance where needed
Develop roadmaps, SOPs, and user training to enhance system adoption and effective use
Create processes for system requests, changes, improvements, and document system protocols
Monitor HR tech trends and recommend new solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and employee experience
Mentor HR team members and support system users to build data-driven HR capabilities across IDT
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred or equivalent full-time professional experience
8 years of progressive HR systems experience, including at least 3+ years in a leadership role
Strong HRIS experience (ADP Workforce Now preferred), with exposure to Cornerstone LMS and Performance Management, ATS, and background check systems
Proven success leading implementations, vendor selection, and integrations across multiple platforms
Advanced analytics/reporting skills (Excel, BI tools, or similar)
Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance, and data security requirements
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for HR and business leaders
Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver innovative solutions
Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company and employee records, and proprietary information. Proven ability to exercise discretion and sound judgement when dealing with confidential data
Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred
Experience with ADP APIs, middleware, or other integration tools
Experience with transitioning/providing employee and management increased self-service experiences
Familiarity with emerging HR technology trends (automation, AI-driven analytics, employee experience platforms)
Supervisory experience managing HR systems analysts or technical specialists
Government contractor experience
Project management certification (PMP, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent)
