Manager, Media Business Operations

The Media Business Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day management of Media Business Operations initiatives for specific clients, guiding a team and collaborating with agency teams to analyze financial inconsistencies and operational trends.

Responsibilities

Oversee client(s) media financials across assigned client portfolio and teams
Ensure invoice and reconciliation process completed by agreed timing and signoff on campaign closure packets
Manage client communications and escalations for financial and operations matters
Guide internal teams on financial best practices as well as system limitations
Enforce adherence to internal audit controls, maintenance of audit documentation and participate in external audits
Track key project milestones, anticipate challenges and raise the appropriate flags to guarantee timely deliverables amongst the Media Business Operations team
Partner with media teams to develop client specific billing needs from reporting to system execution strategies
Create operational exceptions and process to meet client needs while maintaining agency audit integrity and compliance
Collaborate with agency teams and external partners to address areas of attention to improve process, financial standing and/or address client needs
Partner with Media Business Operations Leads on buying tool new functionality evaluations, process rollouts, and tool integrations
Meet monthly with our extended team to evaluate task execution and provide ongoing feedback to improve efficiency
Mentor, motivate and serve as escalation point for team of Media Business Operations Senior Analysts, Analysts and PGD extended team
Begin to understand key elements of terms and conditions within contractual documents
Build strong client, partner and interdepartmental relationships - you’ll win their respect and be recognized as a leader on the business

Required

Four-year degree and/or 4-6 years' experience including 1-3 years in a financial, management and/or operations focused role in an agency or marketing company
A knack for teamwork - you're at your best in a closely collaborative structure
A stellar ability to problem solve, prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage time effectively
Excellent communication skills - you're articulate, straightforward and, above all, you're thoughtful and kind
Proficiency in MS office suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
Strong leadership qualities and ability to drive change
Detail oriented, and highly organized
Proficiency in managing numbers
Self-motivated
Fiscally responsible

Preferred

Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation
