Responsibilities
Designing and developing server-side features in Elixir/Phoenix backed by PostgreSQL
Deploying and managing cloud workloads in AWS with scalability and resilience in mind
Participating in architecture discussions and solving complex engineering challenges
Working on new and existing projects that power a point-of-sale geared towards convenience stores
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value to our customers
Writing, reviewing, and improving code through peer reviews and unit/integration testing
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency with Elixir and OTP principles
Solid experience with PostgreSQL (schemas, queries, performance tuning, JSONB, indexing strategies)
Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (EKS, S3, Aurora)
Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, testable code (TDD/BDD practices mandatory)
Experience working in Agile teams (code reviews, refinement, demos, CI/CD practices)
Good understanding of version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab)
Preferred
Experience with Phoenix framework
Knowledge of observability tools (AppSignal, Datadog, etc.)
