This role provides hands-on exposure to polymers and materials, working closely with R&D and engineering teams to enhance product performance and innovation.
Building Materials
Responsibilities
Exposure to polymer formulations, additives, and their applications in manufacturing
Hands-on experience with materials testing and analysis
Participation in cross-functional projects related to product improvement and innovation
Understanding the relationship between material properties, processing, and final product performance
Gaining insight into industry standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability considerations
Opportunity to engage with both the research and technical aspects of product engineering
Qualification
Required
Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's program in Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
Strong interest in polymers, materials, or applied chemistry
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Self-starter with curiosity and eagerness to learn
Preferred
Coursework or lab experience in polymer chemistry, materials testing, or processing
Interest in how science connects with real-world applications in product manufacturing, extrusion, and product performance
Problem-solving mindset with curiosity for innovation
Familiarity with basic programming, data analysis, or automation tools to support technical testing or process improvement
Familiarity with Minitab, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
