Responsibilities

Reconcile investment accounts and record gains/losses

Prepare monthly and quarterly investment performance reports

Collaborate with advisors on ethical investment strategies

Support endowment accounting and donor transparency

Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance

Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis

Support month-end and year-end close activities

Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting

Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

Post investment income, fees, and unrealized gains/losses

Reconcile investment balances and prepare valuation reports

Assist in endowment unitization and reporting

Prepare and post journal entries for routine transactions

Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts

Assist in compiling financial data for monthly reporting

Support the Director of Accounting in closing the books

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience in investment accounting and financial analysis

3+ years of not-for-profit accounting experience, preferably in higher education

Strong attention to detail and understanding of GAAP
