LTAMDS Technical Manual Writer

Responsibilities

Assess Engineering data for impacts to existing technical content
Develop of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Technical Manuals, including material addressing:
System functional theory
Operations
Preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics and illustrated parts breakdowns from compiled engineering technical reports, drawings, and parts lists
Participate / support all Safety and Engineering Peer Reviews of TMs
Participate / support all Validation requirements and events
Participate in quality reviews of materials
This role will require travel (up to 20%)

Required

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 4 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
Experience creating/editing written technical or non-technical documentation in a military or civilian environment
Ability to work independently and analyze technical documentation
Ability to follow established guidelines and standards
Technical aptitude and self-driven
Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET level security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Experience with the Eagle Publishing System, MIL Standard 40051 or S1000D
Experience supporting projects in an Agile environment
Experience working in a cross-functional team, with a strong ability to communicate effectively within a geographically dispersed team
Agile mindset with the ability to pivot when circumstances change, or direction is set
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and strategic thinking
Knowledgeable with ICC and Fire Unit Operations
Patriot Master Gunner or Top Gun graduate
Knowledgeable on organizational maintenance and remove and replace techniques
Knowledgeable with radar theory and radar propagation
