The Vice President of Responsible Investing & ESG will lead ESG integration across the Real Assets platform, driving analysis and strategic implementation throughout the investment lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Lead ESG analysis and related diligence for all RA transactions
Collaborate with investment and portfolio management teams to assess material ESG risks and opportunities, using Blue Owl’s proprietary ESG tools and frameworks
Oversee monitoring of material ESG issues for underlying assets, including tenant engagement and data collection for reporting as needed
Ensure consistent use of ESG screening templates, risk matrices, and monitoring protocols
Contribute to the evolution of ESG tools and data systems to enhance decision-making and reporting
Support capital raising efforts for RA strategies as needed, including ESG-related client reporting and communications, diligence requests, and meetings with prospective and existing clients
Provide tailored ESG insights to support fundraising efforts and deepen LP relationships
Contribute to RI & ESG team’s strategic priorities and other functional responsibilities across underwriting, portfolio management, thought leadership, and client service
Represent Blue Owl in ESG engagements with investees and industry bodies
Develop case studies and success stories to demonstrate value creation
Qualification
Required
8–12 years of experience in ESG and/or sustainable investing with expertise in real assets/real estate and/or infrastructure investing at an investment management organization
Passionate about both markets and sustainability issues and have experience translating ESG considerations into financial model line items
Ability to identify and demonstrate the impact of material ESG issues on risk-adjusted returns, downside protection, and/or long-term value creation
Thrive in a highly collaborative environment and can build trust with internal teams and external stakeholders
Comfortable setting priorities, executing a research agenda, and problem-solving across complex ESG topics
Bring intellectual curiosity and a global perspective to sustainable investing
Familiar with ESG and sustainability standards and frameworks such as GRESB, SASB, UN PRI, TCFD, and CRREM, and can apply them effectively across strategies
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred
Strong academic credentials - advanced degree or CFA preferred
Experience with ESG data platforms and analytics tools such as physical climate risk assessments, a plus
