Responsibilities
Create and maintain automated UI and API tests
Write and execute Test Case to ensure development outputs meet defined specification cases in coordination with Business requirements and Technical Specifications
Review, validate, and document the setting controls for card programs using platforms like Fiserv
Pinpoint and rectify inconsistencies within card program setting controls, ensuring accurate configurations
Document software defects using JIRA bug tracking system
Be able to use Test Case Management tools such as Zephyr
Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes
Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
Participate in test case reviews and ensure requirements traceability, proper coverage
Perform Exploratory, Functional, Integration, UI, back-end testing, White box/Black box testing. Demonstrate the capacity to investigate and debug complex issues
Demonstrate and evangelize a passion for process and methodology through daily actions
Adhere to and support all established and documented methodology/best practices in alignment with the Release methodologies and processes
Adhere to and support group processes, procedures, and standards to drive and guide a repeatable, reliable delivery of high-quality software products and services
Display a basic understanding of testing methodology and product knowledge in the design of tests
Advise, assist, and mentor QE team members with distributed testing responsibilities
Evangelize, support, and embody Cardworks’s Company Mission, Strategy and Values
Foster a culture of ownership and pride for delivering the highest levels of quality and excellence
Assess solution risk and assist the project team in prioritizing testing efforts
Qualification
Required
2-4 years UI Test automation experience (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
2-4 years of hands-on working experience building API automation tests
2-4 years of hands-on experience with programming/scripting, preferably in languages like Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript
2-4 years experience creating XPath queries and functions
Knowledge in API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, and similar
Basic understanding of RESTful API principles, best practices, and microservices patterns
Demonstrate basic SQL programming skills (queries, joins, etc.)
Knowledgeable in testing methodology, design, execution and attaining product knowledge
Experience with QA techniques including black box, white box, and gray box approaches for smoke, regression, functional, user acceptance and exploratory testing
Experience with the development of use cases, test scenarios and/or test plans
Investigating and debugging complex issues
Experience with Agile testing
Experience using JIRA or another bug tracking tools
Experience using Test Case Management tools such as Zephyr
Bachelor's in computer science (or relevant degree) with 2 years of experience
2-4 years of experience in software testing
