New Grad, Entry LevelDNT Construction, LLC is looking for field personnel as a Construction Grade Checker for rough and precise grading. The role involves understanding plans, providing direction for grading, setting hubs and stakes, and ensuring compliance with safety policies while helping to achieve project schedules.

Setting hubs and stakes
Calculating percentages, volumes, areas, and production rates
Accurately setting grade
Set up sloping laser
Shoot in building elevations
GPS set up & operation
Operate within OSHA and DNT safety policies
Help to achieve project schedules
Qualification
Required
Understanding plans and specs
Layout of crew and project
Providing clear direction for cut/fill
Setting hubs and stakes
Calculating percentages, volumes, areas, and production rates
Accurately setting grade
Setting up sloping laser
Shooting in building elevations
GPS setup & operation
Operating within OSHA and DNT safety policies
Helping to achieve project schedules
Experience in the use of measuring instruments and hand tools
Training in marking and reading survey stakes to determine grade specifications
Ability to observe, direct, and control equipment excavating activities to conform to stake references
Communicating with equipment operators, supervision, and management
Being ON TIME and READY TO WORK
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
Ability to work outside in all weather for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate effectively with management and field personnel
Preferred
Bilingual is a plus but not a must
