Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain stress tools for AMD CPUs
Collaborate with CPU design teams to understand and target functionality of micro-architectural features
Provide training and documentation to support tool usage across teams
Address issues and implement improvements based on user feedback and testing results
Participate in CPU micro-benchmarking and silicon validation efforts
Work with debug and design teams to identify root causes and resolve issues
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in C/C++ and x86 assembly in a Linux environment
Solid understanding of x86 CPU architecture and instruction sets
Experience with silicon bring-up, validation, and debugging
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in dynamic environments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and functions
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
Preferred
Familiarity with CPU product characteristics such as frequency, voltage, thermal design power, and performance
Knowledge of Design-for-Test (DFT) and Design-for-Debug (DFD) methodologies
Experience with x86 CPU's and Instruction Set Architecture
Experience with power management, power-up sequences, clocking, and reset sequences
Understanding of system-level architecture including SoC, DRAM/memory, PCIe, and board-level interactions
Exposure to silicon debug tools and infrastructure
