Responsibilities

Conduct eligibility determination evaluations for children referred to the ITP using standardized testing tools and informal evaluation methods such as observation and caregiver reports
Evaluate the adaptive, communication, motor, cognitive and social-emotional development of children birth-three to determine eligibility for ITP services
Complete developmental assessments
Provide consultation and support to families and other direct services CDSA staff
Assist with the development of family service plans in collaboration with other team members
Provide treatment services as needed
Manage multiple tasks while adhering to timelines when submitting documentation

Required

Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of North Carolina

Preferred

Considerable knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, methods, modalities, and their proper application with the population served
Ability to plan, coordinate, and conduct training and in-service education for CDSA staff and providers
Ability to prepare and evaluate reports, including medical, social and departmental records
Ability to evaluate patient response and progress and to present evaluative reports in case staffing and multi-disciplinary team meetings
Ability to work effectively with clients, clients' families, medical personnel, other CDSA staff members, other service providers and community partners in a sensitive and respectful manner
