Responsibilities
Able to perform cleaning methods on small optics using both hands and a variety of tools such as tweezers, suction cups, clamps, Q-Tips, etc
Able to interpret blueprints of complex machined parts and be able to inspect parts accurately
Inspect Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (True position, Runout, Concentricity, Flatness, Perpendicularity, etc.)
Inspect complex machining parts by using manual hand tools (height gauge, micrometer, Sunnen hone gage, bore gauge, pitch micrometer, optical comparator, and other hand tools)
Perform visual inspection for chips, fractures, cracks and voids under microscope or toolmakers scope
Operate marking equipment for traceability identification
Calculate progressive dimensions for suitability of downstream applications
Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures
Qualification
Required
An aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail
Able to perform cleaning methods on small optics using both hands and a variety of tools such as tweezers, suction cups, clamps, Q-Tips, etc
Able to interpret blueprints of complex machined parts and be able to inspect parts accurately
Inspect Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (True position, Runout, Concentricity, Flatness, Perpendicularity, etc.)
