Vice President, Pharmacy Services

Texas Nursing Services is seeking a strategic and experienced pharmacy executive to oversee pharmaceutical services across a regional healthcare division. The Vice President of Pharmacy Services will drive clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization while leading high-impact initiatives and partnering with senior leadership to elevate patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Provide executive oversight of pharmacy operations, clinical services, and expense management across multiple hospitals
Lead strategic planning and implementation of division-wide pharmacy initiatives aligned with organizational goals
Develop, monitor, and optimize pharmacy business processes to enhance quality, compliance, and financial performance
Collaborate with corporate and facility leaders to improve purchasing efficiency and medication management outcomes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards for all pharmacy departments under scope
Build and strengthen relationships with clinical and operational leadership to advance patient care and staff development
Monitor and analyze pharmacy performance metrics, budget adherence, and cost-reduction initiatives
Serve as subject-matter expert in pharmaceutical services, providing guidance on regulatory preparedness and clinical decision support

Required

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Pharmacy
Active and unencumbered Pharmacist License (must obtain Virginia licensure within 6 months of hire)
Proven experience overseeing multi-facility pharmacy operations in an acute care setting
Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence across corporate and facility levels

Preferred

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), Master of Science (MS), or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Experience leading cost-containment and formulary management programs within a large healthcare system
Demonstrated success implementing enterprise-level pharmacy initiatives or service-line integration projects
