Responsibilities

Support the Facility Engineer in the overall management and maintenance of the organization's facilities, including office buildings, equipment, and grounds
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to facility management
Coordinate office moves to optimize the use of available space
Collaborate with departments to understand space needs and plan accordingly
Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for facility-related services
Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective and quality services
Develop and manage budgets for facility-related expenses
Monitor costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement budgetary controls
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement measures to create a safe working environment
Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments
Develop and implement emergency response plans for various situations, ensuring the safety of occupants
Coordinate drills and training sessions for facility occupants
Implement preventive maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and infrastructure
Schedule and oversee routine inspections and maintenance activities
Liaise with internal departments, management, and stakeholders to understand their facility needs
Communicate facility-related information to employees and stakeholders

Required

A bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on progressively responsible roles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, vendors, and management
Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and implement effective solutions
Experience in managing facility-related projects, including renovations and upgrades
Familiarity with building codes, health and safety regulations, and other relevant compliance standards
Knowledge of facility management software, building automation systems, and other relevant technologies
Active Top Secret clearance required

Preferred

Relevant certifications (e.g., CFM - Certified Facility Manager) desired
