$60/hr - $80/hrOxford Global Resources is seeking a Mechanical Design Systems Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks and Revit modeling. The role involves defining SolidWorks modeling methods, developing CAD standards, and collaborating with various engineering teams to optimize design workflows.

Responsibilities
Define and implement SolidWorks modeling methods, templates, and parametric frameworks for client’s mechanical and structural systems
Develop and document CAD standards, part libraries, and best practices to ensure scalable and repeatable modeling
Execute SolidWorks modeling and assembly creation, including detailed panels and subassemblies
Establish the Revit → SolidWorks translation workflow, ensuring accurate geometry mapping and parametric integrity
Partner with Product, Engineering, NPI, and Process Engineering to align design data with PLM and PDM workflows
Conduct QA/QC on models produced by the design team; mentor and train designers in advanced parametric and configuration methods
Collaborate with integration partners and internal teams to optimize CAD-BIM processes and evaluate automation opportunities
Qualification
Required
Expert-level SolidWorks user – Certified Professional (CSWP) or higher, with proven ability to develop and manage parametric models
Strong understanding of parametric modeling, feature-based design, and modular assemblies
Experience in Revit modeling and data translation between BIM and MCAD environments
Proven ability to define and apply CAD standards and workflow methods within a collaborative team
Strong communication and documentation skills; capable of mentoring peers and reviewing complex design work
On-site presence at least 3 days per week in Hayward, CA
Preferred
Experience with Monday.com and Arena PLM systems
Familiarity with PDM Professional and automation tools (DriveWorks, API, or VBA)
Background in manufacturing or modular construction environments
