Responsibilities

Project oversight and delivery, preparation/review of plans and specifications, and client communications and meetings

Project coordination with technical quality control and oversight involving most if not all the types of tasks listed below:

Providing conceptual input on the development of design projects

Preparation of design plans, calculations, details and public bidding documents

Providing quality control reviews of design

Proficient in technical writing

Potential for field review of construction progress at construction milestones

Qualification

Professional Engineer (P.E.)Bridge project experienceMicrostation proficiencyCivil/structural engineering degreeTransportation project experienceOpen Roads DesignerMentoring skillsTechnical writing

Required

A Bachelor's Degree in civil/structural engineering with 8-12+ years consulting experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Maine

Experience delivering transportation related projects with local and state government agencies in Maine and/or other New England States

Experience with bridge projects

Proficiency with Microstation

Ability to mentor younger staff

Preferred

Knowledge of Open Roads Designer a plus but not required
