Responsibilities

Gives visitors and employees a sense of place; along with the ability to identify, appreciate, and share the history and culture of Maui

Qualification

Hawaiian cultural knowledgePublic speakingComputer literacyOrganizational skillsHawaiian languageUkulele knowledgeInteracting with guestsTime management

Required

High school diploma or equivalent with a good working knowledge of Hawaii, with preference given to knowledge of South Maui
Hawaiian cultural knowledge and experience (e.g., knowledge of Hawaiian arts and crafts – ability to perform or demonstrate, and teach the art or craft, hula expertise, ukulele knowledge, storytelling experience, knowledge of wayfinding, outrigger etc...)
Computer literacy, including basic Word and Excel
Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work well independently and has the initiative to plan proactively
Strong communication skills, including public speaking and interacting with guests
Flexibility to work weekends nights & or holidays

Preferred

Ability to play ukulele and/or guitar preferred
Knowledge of Hawaiian language preferred
