Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance
The University of South Dakota’s Beacom School of Business is seeking a visiting assistant professor in finance beginning in Fall 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses, engage in scholarly research, and provide mentorship to students.

Responsibilities
Teach both undergraduate and graduate classes in finance with annual teaching load of eighteen (18) credit hours (typically, six classes). Courses may include Managerial Finance, Advanced Corporate Finance, Commercial Bank Management, and other finance courses
The successful candidate will be expected to teach classes on our Vermillion campus, Sioux Falls campus and online
Bring a unique and innovative educational experience to students through both classroom teaching and mentorship
Engage in related scholarly research and service for the Department, profession, and broader community
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in finance or a closely related field from an AACSB-International accredited business school is required, although ABDs with successful defense by start date will be considered
Record of, or potential for, contribution to the scholarship of finance
Proficiency in oral and written communication
Preferred
Degrees from AACSB-International accredited business school are preferred
Candidates with work experience are preferred
