Responsibilities
Responsible for implementing and executing solid system for backup of all programs and parameters for all automation devices
Identify and implement most secure and effective way to store backup programs and associated parameters
Setup calibration process for automation devices and their control instrumentations
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and skills by attending training sessions and seminars from major manufacturers of automation equipment and related associations, etc
Follow company’s health and safety program, rules and procedures and work in compliance with health and safety-related legislation and codes
Responsible to report food safety and food quality issues
Qualification
Required
Completion of a post-Secondary Diploma in a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience with manufacturing systems, including PLC-based control systems and OPC interfaces preferable
Previous experience working with Industrial Network Protocols (Device Net, Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP, HART)
Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens and Omron)
Strong working knowledge of servo motor controls
Knowledge of the installation, configuration, operation and troubleshooting of route and switched network
Intermediate-level knowledge in IEC programming languages (PLC and HMI programming)
Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
Prior working experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
Possesses and commits to a high level of personal and ethical responsibility
