The Directional Drill Foreman will lead a 4-person crew in safely completing underground directional drilling projects, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining project documentation.

Responsibilities

Work with construction manager for in-field project set up

Lead and direct 4-person crew to safely complete projects

Complete legible bore logs and field sketches

Select and implement appropriate maintenance of traffic signage and follow safety precautions

Identify potential safety hazards. Create a corrective action plan when safety hazards are recognized

Administer monthly safety meetings

Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

Understand as-built drawings and roadway plans

Possess leadership and mentoring skills

Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance tasks

Must have a mechanical aptitude

Experience placing underground cable a plus

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum of 6 years of underground experience operating a directional drill

At least 2 years of experience managing a 4-person crew

Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

Possess leadership and mentoring skills

Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance tasks

Must have a mechanical aptitude

Highschool Diploma/GED

Valid Driver's License

Ability to maintain required certifications

Preferred

Experience placing underground cable a plus
