Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain servers, including web servers, email servers, file servers, and database servers
Plan and implement server backups and disaster recovery procedures
Monitor server performance and capacity utilization, and troubleshoot server issues
Configure and manage server security settings, including firewall rules and access control lists
Perform regular system updates and patch management
Create and maintain user accounts, groups, and permissions
Manage storage devices and RAID arrays
Monitor network traffic and performance
Generate reports on server activity and performance
Automation and scripting, Windows Domain Administration, Active Directory Administration
Track user account creation, changes, and deletions
Evaluating proposed software and Windows configuration functional and non-functional requirements for impact to existing information systems
Developing and implementing maintenance procedures, standard operating procedures, and security baselines
Providing analytical and technical security recommendations to other team members, oversight organizations, and stakeholders to help specify security requirements
Providing risk analysis for vulnerabilities, incidents, and change requests
Providing recommendations related to the design, development, and integration of automated software and hardware solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or a related field is required (A combination of experience and certifications may be considered)
3 years to < 5 years of work experience
Valid Florida Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record
VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV 2020 (Design or Deploy) or newer) is required upon hire
Preferred
VMWare Certified Design Expert – Data Center Virtualization (VCDX-DCV 2020 or newer)
Training or Professional Experience and/or certifications in other Microsoft Server products, Dell, EMC are strongly preferred
