The Vice President, Data & AI Engineering will lead the technology strategy and implementation of Subway’s data platform and AI capabilities, overseeing a team to drive innovation and support business objectives across various functions.

Responsibilities
Partner with leaders across Subway business units including digital, marketing, operations, finance, and analytics to define a shared product vision & roadmap that supports business objectives. Turn business goals into executable forward-thinking strategies and solutions enabled with a modern data platform
Lead, hire, and develop an organization of data platform engineers, data architects & product/project managers to develop & own Subway’s modern data platform. Establish career paths, mentorship, and feedback mechanisms that foster learning, inclusion, and innovation. Oversee joint insourced & outsourced teams to ensure effective execution & project delivery
Partner with Digital & Marketing to leverage first and third-party data to enhance personalization and segmentation capabilities. Partner with digital and marketing organizations to build capabilities into business plans and assess results
Partner with Operations & Finance to deeply understand the economics, processes, and operations of Subway restaurants to provide actionable insights to drive franchisee performance & profitability
Own & establish the AI technology foundation & implementation at Subway to achieve strategic business objectives. Partner closely with Enterprise Architecture to establish patterns, architecture, & solutions for AI enablement across Subway
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (Required)
10+ Years of Experience in Technology with strong focus in data
Cultivates and builds collaborative working relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders
Proven leader with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
Ability to effectively communicate abstract concepts in verbal, written, and visual forms at all levels in the organization, translating technical information into business language and concepts
Comfort leading highly complex development projects under tight timetables with cross functional & distributed teams
Experience establishing a common architecture vision that is shared by technology and business stakeholders
Experience identifying, analyzing, and proposing IT investment opportunities
