Product Tooling Technician

Responsibilities
Review NPI and process change jobs to ensure that the process defined by Metallurgy and Tooling Engineering meets customer technical requirements before release to manufacture
Review rework jobs against approved fixed processes before release to manufacture
Disposition and determination of RCCA for process non-conformances
Initiate and execute process/cost improvement projects
Review of new and revised technical (material, process, quality, etc) specifications, tooling prints as necessary
Work with vendors to order new tools and / or repair tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited Institution or High school diploma/general education degree (GED) with a minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization, customers, and outside regulatory agencies
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, statistics, geometry, and percentages
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Understands how to complete routine daily tasks but requires support and direction. Requires training for new or more complicated tasks

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Preferred
Engineering degree is in Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution
Experience in Aerospace forging using titanium and/or nickel based super alloys
Understands the basics of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
Requires training and or is learning the company ERP system and Quality System management application
Minitab or similar statistical software preferred
