The CAD Designer I role involves contributing to the design implementation process of new product development through 3D modeling and detailed technical drawing creation, while collaborating with design engineers and ensuring high-quality outputs for production.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with design engineers to create new revisions of 3D models and detailed technical manufacturing drawings

Be proficient in the use of one or more 3D CAD systems, engineering database tools, revision control systems, and Part Lifecycle Management (PLM) software

Integrate company objectives into your work by having a basic understanding of the GIW workflow, product platforms, and processes

Work within a CAD team to identify and solve complex problems

Make drawing changes from verbal information or rough sketches

Ensure the reliability of downstream processes by generating high-quality, error-free models and drawings for both internal and external production, as well as for use by the final customer

Support complex design initiatives within a CAD team

Utilize established CAD design practices, standards, and work instructions

Communicate professionally on technical matters relating to pump design and manufacture
