Responsibilities
Assisting other attorneys and acting as lender’s counsel in all aspects of pre-closing and closings, including due diligence and correspondence with title companies, surveyors, borrower’s counsel, and clients for properties throughout the United States
Loan Document negotiation
Reviewing title commitments and underlying title exception documents and surveys
Coordinating with title company and surveyor to finalize for closing
Reviewing affordable housing documents, commercial leases and preparing lease abstracts
Performing other tasks and duties as assigned in all phases of the real estate life cycle
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and J.D. from an accredited law school
Minimum 0-2 Years of experience preferably in commercial Real Estate
Experience working with a Document Management system
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Desire to be trained and mentored in a fast-paced, team environment
Ability to interact effectively with attorneys and colleagues
Preferred
Knowledge or interest in affordable housing and/or Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily, affordable housing, and other areas of public finance and community development
