Responsibilities
Managing capital projects end-to-end on a pharmaceutical campus
Delivering infrastructure/utilities projects from inception through turn-over package
Utilizing breadth of knowledge across construction and engineering to ensure effective project execution
Master planning, feasibility studies, business case support, capital appropriation request, project planning, design development coordination
Value engineering, cost estimating & budgeting, procurement & tendering, scheduling
Communications, coordination, quality control, document control, cost management, change control
Progress management & reporting, dispute resolution, contract administration, safety & compliance management, operations control, close-out, and commissioning
Qualification
Required
Degreed engineer or construction manager
15 plus years experience in managing capital projects end-to-end on a pharmaceutical campus
Experience in successfully delivering infrastructure/utilities projects from inception through turn-over package
Impeccable communication skillset
Business & finance acumen
Construction technical knowledge
15 years of project management practice
Strong project management skills and proven experience in having managed capital design and construction projects with emphasis on infrastructure/utilities projects
Understanding of GMP, regulatory, environmental, and OSHA regulations as it relates to Engineering, Facilities Operations and Construction
Understanding of financial management as it relates to capital and expense spending and project cash flow forecasting (i.e. Purchase Orders, Invoicing)
Experience in total project delivery and leads the development of the capital project scope and objectives in support of the business strategy dealing with clients and stakeholders
Exhibits project leadership and effective decision making throughout each project
Leads and promotes effective teamwork by engaging both Facilities as well as including key clients and stakeholders
