Bilingual Mental Health Therapist II - License Preferred
WellPower is a multicultural organization providing integrated outpatient services. The Bilingual Mental Health Therapist II will deliver outpatient therapy across the lifespan, offering tailored interventions for individuals and families with various mental health needs.

Responsibilities
Provide diagnostic mental health assessments as well as individual, family, play, couple, and/or group psychotherapy along with crisis intervention and case management support to assigned individual/ family
Develop treatment plans; monitor treatment progress and follow-up as clinically indicated
Facilitate the individual and/or family’s growth and development with an emphasis on strengths, culture, resiliency, and wellbeing
Collaborate with internal and external partners to support the growth and development of those we serve
Facilitate the coordination of services for individuals/ families with supplemental needs in psychiatric, case management, and medical domains
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with WellPower standards
Participate in team/department meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions as required
Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or other human services field required
Bilingual English & Spanish required
Cultural proficiency working alongside the Latino/a/x, Hispanic, and Chicano/a/x communities
Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy
Knowledge of community resources
Openness to working with people ages 5 years and older and ability to develop proficiency in serving people across the lifespan
Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately
Familiarity with the DSM V and diagnostic techniques
Understanding the right of people served to privacy and confidentiality (basic HIPAA principles)
Ability to hold a strengths-based and person-defined approach
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively on a team
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care principles/practices
Preferred
Licensed or within 6 months of licensure preferred
1 to 2 years of experience in mental health or human services preferred
