MIT Lincoln Laboratory is involved in the development and enhancement of missile defense technology. The group seeks graduate-level summer interns to contribute to projects related to their mission, working alongside technical staff on various challenges.

Responsibilities
Contribute to a number of challenging projects related to the mission
Partner with technical staff to work on issues that leverage their competencies
Work on projects individually or in teams depending on the skills of the candidates
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a MS or PhD in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or a similar STEM degree
Competencies desired in any combination of the following areas: C++, C, MATLAB, Python, physics, applied math, engineering, computer science, radar, infrared, IR, RF, autonomous systems, control systems theory, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data structures, algorithms, signal processing, signal analysis, formal methods, neural nets, and sensor fusion
Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance
U.S. citizenship is required
Benefits
Housing support is available for eligible non-local interns, including access to discounted university housing in Boston and a one-time taxable relocation payment.
Complimentary daily shuttle transportation is provided from Boston-based housing to and from the Lab.
