Responsibilities

Lead engineering efforts for BRT projects, including roadway design, drainage design, maintenance of traffic, station design, civil/site grading, and transit signal priority systems
Serve as Project Manager and/or Technical Lead on complex BRT and multimodal transit projects
Oversee multidisciplinary teams through all project phases—from conceptual design through construction
Ensure compliance with FTA guidelines, local agency standards, and applicable codes
Coordinate with transit agencies, municipalities, and stakeholders to ensure project success
Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource plans
Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence
Support business development efforts, including proposal writing, client engagement, and strategic pursuits

Required

BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng.) license required (must obtain Texas PE certification within 18 months)

Preferred

Experience with transit infrastructure design, including LRT, BRT, and commuter rail
Familiarity with transit agencies and regional transportation priorities
Experience in engineering project delivery, including design and construction phases
Strong understanding of engineering standards, permitting, and regulatory processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects
Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills
