Advanced Solar Field Service Technician (Operations and Maintenance)

Responsibilities

Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment
Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules
Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment
Testing/troubleshooting installed solar equipment and ensuring proper working order
Must have a strong safety background with experience in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
Able work in a solo as well as a group environment
Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements

Required

2+ years' experience in Commercial/Industrial operations and maintenance (O&M) on solar power plants
Preventative Maintenance experience on Solar Utility equipment
Strong mechanical and electrical experience with troubleshooting and installation skills
Ability to train, mentor, and develop laborers into Apprentices
Strong safety background with experience in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
Ability to work in a solo as well as a group environment
Must live within approximately 50 miles of the New Brunswick, New Jersey areas
Comply with OSHA Standards
Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds)
Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements

Preferred

Specific solar experience with Inverters, Tracker Systems, or Sub-Stations Equipment (TMEIC/SMA/Sungrow/Nextracker/ATI, etc.)
Takes initiative to escalate issues at site
