Broadcom is looking for an experienced RF Power Amplifier Design Engineer to join their Wireless Semiconductor Division team. The role involves designing RF power amplifiers, performing simulations, and resolving issues in RF PA systems.

Responsibilities

Designing RF power amplifiers, performing simulations, and correlating them with measured results
Analyzing and resolving issues arising in RF PA systems
Proposing advanced PA architectures to improve efficiency and linearity
Simulating the full transmitter (Tx) chain

Qualification

RF power amplifier designGaAs HBT technologyADS proficiencyCadence Virtuoso proficiencyET/APT design experienceDoherty PA designHFSS proficiencyET tracker architectureProblem-solvingTeam collaboration

Required

M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience
Proven experience in power amplifier (PA) design using GaAs HBT technology
Hand-on experience designing ET, APT, and Doherty PAs
Proficiency with ADS, Cadence Virtuoso, HFSS, and ETH
Strong understanding of ET/APT behavior, including linearity, memory effects, AM-PM distortion, and thermal effects
Strong understanding of ET tracker architecture and operation
