Arclin Inc is currently looking for an Applications Technologist I for their Springfield, OR location, reporting to the Applications Engineer within the Growth and Innovation Team. This role supports product development, laboratory analysis, and field application testing in accordance with key company growth objectives while maintaining a safe and organized laboratory workspace.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with the ability to efficiently multi-task

Convert written and verbal instructions into actions related to new product development in the building construction materials space

Conduct laboratory activities including coating development, paper and nonwoven converting, raw material evaluations, and final product assessment through applications testing

Demonstrate a desire to work with and understand a wide variety of coating chemistries as well as application technologies

Record the results of laboratory experiments and field application testing in an organized and concise manner using an electronic lab notebook system

Willingness to complete carpentry related tasks and organize logistics associated with preparing and shipping samples for evaluation at third party laboratories

Provide technical support the Applications Engineer as well as the other peers within the Growth and Innovation team
