Assistant Professor of Transportation and International Logistics
Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is a Hispanic Serving Institution located in Laredo, Texas, seeking an Assistant Professor of Transportation and International Logistics to begin in Fall 2026. The role involves teaching courses, engaging in scholarly publications, and contributing to service and engagement activities consistent with the School’s mission and AACSB accreditation standards.

Responsibilities
Teaching courses (a reduced teaching load for the first years of hire)
Engaging in scholarly publications
Demonstrate and sustain excellence in teaching
Maintain an active research agenda leading to publications in reputable, discipline-based peer-reviewed journals
Contribute to service and engagement activities consistent with the School’s mission and AACSB accreditation standards
Service to the department, college, and university
Face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace
Qualification
Required
PhD/DBA in Business or a closely related field
At least 18 hours of graduate coursework in Transportation or International Logistics
ABD candidates can be considered if they are in a position to complete their degree before the start date
Research focuses on international logistics and business phenomena
Ability to leverage Laredo, Texas's status as the #1 port in the Americas and its vibrant ecosystem of transportation, logistics, customs, technology-driven, and trade-related organizations
