Responsibilities
Actively seek out, build, and nurture lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and partners through networking, outreach, outstanding project work, and consistent communication
Inspire and guide project teams, keeping momentum high and ensuring smooth execution—even when challenges arise
Monitor project profitability, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure excellence across the board
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Lead, motivate, and oversee the local team, manage team workload, provide coaching and feedback, track group performance, and support staff development while fostering a positive and productive work environment
Collaborate with business development and program management teams to identify and pursue new opportunities with both existing and prospective clients
Contribute to complex environmental projects, including: Due diligence projects including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Designing, conducting and/or overseeing site investigations including soil, vapor, and groundwater, Remedial action planning and oversight, Proposal development, cost estimating, and reporting, Ensure high quality service/product delivery from the team
Qualification
Required
BS degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
10+ years of direct environmental experience commensurate with the described duties of the position
Naturally outgoing and enjoys interacting with people
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Comfortable initiating conversations and building rapport with new contacts
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of environmental and regulatory programs and processes as they apply to industrial, energy, agricultural and commercial clients
Strong desire to help build and grow a client base through supporting diverse business development initiatives
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Preferred
Licensed Professional Geoscientist or Professional Engineer preferred
Multiple years of experience in team management and client-facing roles is a plus
