Responsibilities
Derive and allocate requirements into detailed design
Designs, develops and tests displays, controls and functionality
Collaborates with Systems and Quality Engineers to ensure software requirements are met
Performs software peer reviews, version control, automated tests, software analysis, continuous integration, and continuous delivery in accordance with DevSecOps processes and best practices
Performs code quality management and corrects defects
Coordinates with HW/SW team to perform retests and regression tests once defects are corrected
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's and 2 years of related experience; Master's and 0 years of related experience; Or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree for Software Engineer
Bachelor's and 5 years of related experience; Master's and 3 years of related experience; PHD with one year or related experience or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree for Principal Software Engineer
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
2+ years of C++ development and object-oriented design
Experience with Agile software development
Experience with Atlassian tool suite
Experience with SW development in a Linux environment
Experience with code design documentation using UML
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML) and concepts
Preferred
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field
Experience with software development using a DevOps pipeline
Experience with Hardware/Software interface design
Experience with software and hardware certification/accreditation
Experience with embedded systems
Experience with databases (structure, design) and query languages
Experience with real-time operating systems
Experience with secure software development such as DO-178C compliant or similar
UML modeling experience using Cameo
Experience with JavaScript, Python languages
Experience in a formal technical lead position
