Responsibilities

Work with a team of experienced civil engineers to develop preliminary studies and construction plans on innovative transportation projects in Idaho and the Pacific Northwest

Gain an understanding of roadway engineering design elements by assisting with calculating cost estimates, developing transportation plans, and utilizing geometric design techniques

Develop CAD knowledge and plan production skills from Professional Engineers while becoming familiar with the consulting engineering community’s role in creating and enhancing the transportation systems of Idaho and the Pacific Northwest

Learn the basics of industry specific 3D modeling design software

Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete assigned tasks on time and within budget

Required

You are a current student in good academic standing pursuing a degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university and have completed at least two years of your undergraduate degree or prior engineering co-op experience

Related engineering coursework required; previous co-ops are a plus

Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word

Proficiency or interest in learning PDF markup/review tools, such as BlueBeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat

Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate, learn, and grow
